Bio: Gay graduated the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and then the University of Texas with a Master of Science in Engineering. Her studies led her to a commissioned position of Captain of the U.S. Air Force, where she oversaw development of next generation satellite and launch systems; and later, to engineering and marketing roles in the nanoelectronics and semiconductor industries. But, it was her interests as a child, and her personal experiences as a young adult that led Gay to her passion work. Having put herself through college and developed an intentional retirement savings plan, Gay understood the importance of planning. And, after watching friends and colleagues chase silicon valley gold following the dot-com boom without a cohesive financial plan, she realized what she took for granted as universal principles weren’t universally understood. So, she put herself to work studying to understand what made the difference between making money and building wealth, and how to alter course to ensure a strong financial future for one’s self and one’s family.
