Are Pavement Ants Dangerous?

Pavement ants are harmless. They can technically sting but rarely do, and it poses no real threat to people. They do not spread disease or damage the structure of a home.

The issue is nuisance. They trail indoors and contaminate food, and the soil piles they push up through pavement cracks are unsightly. They are a persistent annoyance, not a danger.
